It offers a diverse range of services, such as: catechesis, home construction and remodeling, recreational and athletic activities, events for human and intellectual formation, ecological support, censuses, drives to raise food, money and medicine, and urban development. Missions of evangelization are also conducted in the most spiritually needy neighborhoods. Sacraments are administered at this time, especially baptism and the blessing of marriages. In April 1999 the Congregation for Catholic Education approved the Institute for Religious Sciences under the auspices of the Athenaeum''s faculty of theology. The Institute offers a degree in Religious Sciences that can be obtained through distance learning.
