Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum Regina Apostolorum Institute of Religious Sciences With the collaboration of the Legionaries of Christ, the Holy See established this new Athenaeum for the study of Philosophy and Theology at Rome in 1993. 675 students were enrolled during the 1998-1999 academic year. In April 1999 the Congregation for Catholic Education approved the Institute for Religious Sciences under the auspices of the Athenaeum''s faculty of theology. The Institute offers a degree in Religious Sciences that can be obtained through distance learning.
