In April 1999 the Congregation for Catholic Education approved the Institute for Religious Sciences under the auspices of the Athenaeum''s faculty of theology. The Institute offers a degree in Religious Sciences that can be obtained through distance learning.

Institute for Evangelization This institute founded in the United States prepares catechists who will effectively promote Catholic doctrine. It provides formation in the areas of doctrine, catechetical methodology, spiritual and pastoral support. Faithful to the magisterium of the Church, the Institute for Evangelization places special emphasis on the permanent formation of catechists in the faith, encouraging them to be faithful witnesses of Christ''s love and message. The members of the Institute for Evangelization work together with local churches in catechesis and by sponsoring youth organizations. The Treasure of My Catholic Faith This is an educational project that seeks to promote knowledge of and appreciation for the treasure of Catholic faith both at home and at school. It consists of a series of books for grades K-12 whose content is drawn from the Catechism of the Catholic Church, while implementing the new advances in the area of traditional and modern educational research. Textbooks come with a complete set of resource materials: videos, songs, teacher''s guidebooks, liturgical notebooks, and more.
